Membership is an important step both for you and for Calvary Baptist Church. We believe God calls His people to be part of a community within the local church. As Paul described in his letter to the Corinthians, the Church is like a body—made up of many different parts and roles, yet united as one. Take a moment to explore our membership process and see how you can be part of our body of believers.

Here are a few Biblical reasons to consider joining Calvary:
• You are not ashamed to identify with Christ or His people (Mark 8:38)
• You need to stop being an independent Christian (Matthew 18:15-17, Hebrews 13:17)
• You wish to participate in a stronger, more unified effort of God’s people
• You have greater opportunities to use spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4)
• You want to openly demonstrate the reality of the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27)
• You want to encourage new believers to make a commitment to the local body (Hebrews 10:24)

Step One: Fill Out a  Membership Form

Filling out a membership form accomplishes two things. First, it lets our church leadership know you are serious about church membership. Second, it gives us the best, most up-to-date information about you and your family. Our goal is to make sure every person desiring to be a part of our faith family has the opportunity to truly belong.  This must be completed by every family member 9th grade and older.  Scroll to the bottom of this page for the membership form.

Step Two, Attend a New Membership Class

We want you to know who we are and what makes us family, what makes us unique. In our Calvary Membership Class, we will explore our vision, mission, core values and beliefs, governance, membership expectations, and church culture.

Meet Your New Church Family

New members who have completed the process are asked to join the pastor at the end of a scheduled Sunday morning service to be briefly introduced and welcomed.
